Lisa Sanow

PRODUCER, DIRECTOR, SCREENWRITER

Lisa Sanow is the heart, soul, connected energy, and founder of SeaHawk Productions.  Literally a "Jackie-of-all-trades," she produced, wrote and directed the touching romantic comedy “Gone Postal” starring Lee Meriwether & James Mathers.  Counted among her credited 11 shorts is the quirky “Putnam Palace” based on the characters in the upcoming feature “Putnam County Law.”  “Putnam Palace” was competed in 2004 and won Lisa an exclusive distribution deal with Big Film Shorts.  In 2007, Lisa directed, wrote and produced the award winning short "Twisted Faith" starring Elaine Hendrix and Jason Stuart.  After a successful festival run, "Twisted Faith" was picked up for distribution by Regent Releasing.  In 2013, Lisa produced, wrote and directed "The Inappropriate Medium" a parody of the TLC series "Long Island Medium."  The short stars Algerita Wynn and has been well received online on the SeaHawk Productions YouTube channel.

Lisa has an extensive theatrical resume with credits in acting, directing, and producing. She has appeared in more than 28 films including "White Man's Burden" and "Little Giants." An "actors" director, Lisa has helmed numerous short films including "A Final Resting Place" and took on both Script Supervisor and 1st AD for "A Moment of Truth," winner in 2000 of a Foreign Press Association Student Film Award. A college graduate with two Masters Degrees; one from California State University in Mass Communications and the other from Loyola Marymount University in Screenwriting, Lisa has completed 9 feature-length screenplays with 4 more in development.

Her diverse background in business includes sales, finance, and management for a variety of industries while pursuing her educational and entertainment goals. Lisa's business background includes financial positions with major retail corporations along with her administrative background in both private and public agencies have honed Lisa's management skills over 15 years.  Currently, Lisa is one of the highly sought after Script Supervisor’s in the independent arena.

Lisa is also an avid champion for fostering community through art and diversity. SeaHawk Productions is committed to opening doors as a resource for expression for all people passionate about their craft regardless of their human condition.
